With over 15 years of experience as a Thatcher in Ireland nowadays I am mainly using water reed from Ireland but also France, Turkey and Austria, using either traditional methods like hazel or willow spars and more modern methods like screws and metal bars, depending on the demands and specifications ask by Heritage Council and Local County council conservations grants.

After many years working on Irish thatched roofs, I have started my own thatching business  based in West Cork I am travelling all over Ireland and also in Brittany in West of France.
